| Do you know how to say “thank you” in Chinese? In this lesson, you'll learn three different ways to say "thank you" and how to respond. |
| Let’s start with the easiest one. |
| xièxie. |

| It means “thank you.” |
| If you want to really show your appreciation for something, you should use the following phrase. |
| Tài xièxie le. |
| [slowly] Tài xièxie le. |
| It means “thank you so much.” |
| The word 太 (tài) means "a lot." At the end, you can see the word 了 (le) which complete the sentence. |
| Together, Tài xièxie le literally means "thanks a lot" or "thank you so much." |
| What if you want to say that you appreciate something someone did more than should appreciate you? Here's the way to say it. |
| xièxiè nǐ. |
| [slowly] xièxiè nǐ. |
| You can find the word 你 (nǐ) at the end. It means "you." It's like saying "Thank YOU" in which "you" has been emphasized. |
| Now you know 3 different ways to say "thank you" in Chinese! But how do you respond if someone thanks you? |
| If someone says "thank you" in Chinese, simply say Bù yòng xiè. It means "You're welcome" or literally, "no need to thank." |
