She recently went viral again and this time, it was for claiming she was “financially sabotaged” by the company, which she did not name.
Earlier this month, Chef Pii (born Victoria Shaw) made social posts launching her GoFundMe campaign. Shaw was seeking assistance to help “feed her kids” and avoid “eviction.”
After announcing the fundraiser, Shaw posted several since-deleted videos accusing the company of “rejecting” her marketing ideas and attempting to “steal her legacy.”
A representative for Dave’s Gourmet provided the following statement in response to Shaw’s posts.
“Dave’s Gourmet has adhered to the terms of the agreement with Ms. Shaw. We disagree with Ms. Shaw’s allegations,” the statement reads. “Dave’s Gourmet has paid Chef Pii over $120,000 to date and it continues to make all payments as due and on time based upon the terms of the contract.”
“We’ve offered to reimburse Ms. Shaw for her lawyer’s time to go over the terms of the agreement and how it relates to the payments that were made to Ms. Shaw,” it continued. “She indicated that she’s open to an amicable resolution of the dispute and the parties are in discussions.”
At the time of publishing, Shaw has not responded to Blavity’s requests for comment.
As Blavity reported, Shaw has since removed the posts on her social media pages where she made accusations against the company. However, her GoFundMe page is still active and receiving funds.
It was announced that Shaw had partnered with Dave’s Gourmet. The condiment company added Pink Sauce to its portfolio, selling it on Walmart.com and in 4,000 locations nationwide.
The sauce was now in a new bottle, providing the standard nutrition and ingredient facts. Walmart.com also stated, “Pink Sauce is made at an SQF and FDA-approved facility.”
The partnership between Dave’s Gourmet and Shaw was initially set to run through this past July.

It basically tastes like sweeter ranch dressing. Personally, I have never eaten ranch dressing and thought, “I wish this was sweeter!” Maybe you have, though. Additionally, the sauce we received isn't really pink. It's more of a pinkish beige, kind of like the yum yum sauce you get at a Japanese steakhouse.
Ingredients now include dragon fruit, coconut cream, canola oil, onion powder, and ranch flavoring. A glass bottle has replaced its plastic squirt container. Pink Sauce will be available exclusively at 4,300 Walmart locations through July 2023.
Despite watching gross TikToks of people trying Pink Sauce, and my friends joking about starting a GoFundMe to pay medical bills if I get sick, I remained optimistic. I initially tried it with some basic chicken nuggets. The taste itself was somewhere between ranch dressing and a fruit-flavored gummy multivitamin.
