Feta can be made either with only sheep’s milk or only goat’s milk and sometimes halloumi includes cow’s milk in the mixture.

FETA – The King of Greek Cheeses
Feta is a white, salty, crumbly cheese from Greece that is traditionally made from sheep milk and is typically bought in blocks. It is a well-sought item andis classified as a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) by the Greek Government, in the European Union, as not any cheese can be called “feta” unless if it is produced in Greece and made with Sheep or Goat milk.
It is also of high nutritional value and a good source of vegetarian protein, calcium, and phosphorus as well as B12 and niacin, all highly beneficial for one’s health and overall well-being. When purchasing your next feta, make sure to search for the stamp indicating it’s PDO approved and country of origin.
HALLOUMI – Cyprus proudest food export
Halloumi is a Cypriot cheese traditionally produced through the use of sheep’s and goat’s milk, or a mixture of both, with the use of cow’s milk being less common. It is a semihard, unripened, and brined cheese with a slightly spongy texture and tangy/salty taste. Halloumi is moderately high in fat and a good source of protein. It is also very rich in calcium and is a known source of zinc, magnesium, vitamin A, and B vitamins. Since the cheese has a high melting point, it can be easily fried or grilled. Its unusualness lies in the preparation of the cheese where no acid or acid-producing bacterium is required
