In total, there are dozens of jumping puzzles in the game. Ever wondered what the hardest puzzles are? We got you covered. In this list, you can learn about the top nine hardest jumping puzzles. These puzzles are considered 'hard' because of their difficulty, as well as length. First, let's travel to Halloween and look at the jumping puzzle within the Mad King's Realm.
9 Mad King's Clock Tower Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Mad King's Realm
- This is a Halloween exclusive location.
First up, we have the Mad King’s Clock Tower. Since its addition to the game in 2012, gamers across the internet have been expressing their frustration with this jumping puzzle. The puzzle itself is fun to complete once you get the hang of it, but on your first few tries, you will definitely have some missteps.
The creator of this jumping puzzle, Joshua Foreman, even stated that “five percent of people would make it to the top”. If you do feel like taking on this puzzle, wait until Halloween and then find a Haunted Door with a pumpkin above it.
8 Retrospective Runaround Jumping Puzzle
- Location: The Silverwastes
This jumping puzzle isn't as hard as most, but it is quite long. For this jumping puzzle, you need to navigate through nine separate milestones. Rather than performing difficult jumps, you will put your exploration skills to the test.
Retrospective Runarounds contains dead ends that will teleport you back to the beginning of the puzzle, as well as several areas that are ‘out of bounds’, causing you to start over. If you have mounts or gliding unlocking, this puzzle can be significantly easier.
7 Searing Ascent Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Ring of Fire, Draconis Mons
So, you've made it to the Ring of Fire and want to start the jumping puzzle here. The main mechanic this puzzle uses is Oakheart's Essence; this is an item that will grant you the Reach ability. This ability will fling you forward, making it hard for you to see the spot that you are supposed to land on.

For the jumping puzzle, you will need to use Oakheart’s Essence to navigate between checkpoints. Using this reach can be quite stressful, especially if you don’t know where you are supposed to be going.
6 Not So Secret Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Broadhollow Bluffs, Gendarran Fields
This is a long jumping puzzle filled with difficult jumps and enemies to knock you off your path. When you first begin the Not So Secret jumping puzzle, you will have to make use of launch pads. Overall, they are simple to use, but the worst has yet to come.
There are several very thin platforms that you are required to jump to throughout this puzzle, making it easy to fall and potentially die if you are far off the ground. Paired with Aetherblade enemies attacking you, this jumping puzzle is definitely frustrating.
5 Winter Wonderland Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Crown Pavilion, Divinity's Reach
- This is only available during the Wintersday event.
Winter Wonderland is the second event-exclusive jumping puzzle on our list. The puzzle is pretty straightforward; jump onto melting snowflakes and go through a variety of obstacles until you reach the end.
What makes this difficult is the fact that each instance of the jumping puzzle can have up to 20 people. If another player lands on a snowflake and causes it to disappear right as you are about to jump, then you will fall.
4 Griffonrook Run Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Griffonrook Run, Lornar's Pass
Griffonrook Run is another long jumping puzzle that you can complete. In addition to jumping and moving through the puzzle, you need to carry a bomb all the way to the end. However, it is possible to drop and lose the bomb, making this jumping puzzle even more frustrating.
The bomb is used to unlock the chest at the end of the puzzle, but you will only have three minutes to do so until it blows up. Additionally, if you are attacked by any mob, the bomb will blow up, and you will need to get another one.
3 Goemm's Lab Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Cuatl Morass, Metrica Province
This jumping puzzle floats above the sky in Metrica Province. Overall, the puzzle is fun, but it can take some time to get used to it. It is high off the ground, meaning that you caneasily die if you fall off any platform. While jumping, you can also be pushed by wind gusts that can be hard to see.
To proceed between Asura Portals, you will need to ‘tune’ to them. To do this, you need to interact with Attuder Devices that are guarded by veteran enemies. Attuning effects last for 20 minutes, and will only end early if you die. This means that if you fall and die during this puzzle, you will need to re-attune yourself.
2 Skipping Stones Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Southsun Shoals, Southsun Cove
The Skipping Stones jumping puzzle is exactly what it sounds like. You will need to jump between stone platforms with geysers to move forward. These geysers will create said platforms, but if you jump or stand on the platform too early, you will be knocked back and burned.

Overall, you will need to jump between 22 stone platforms. This is a lot, making it quite difficult for players. At first, it can be hard to get the hang of the timing for the geysers, but once you figure it out, this jumping puzzle can be fun and fast-paced.
1 Skip Up The Volcano Jumping Puzzle
- Location: Sopor Titanum, Ember Bay
Lastly, we have the Skip Up The Volcano jumping puzzle. Also referred to as the Chalice of Tears, this puzzle requires you to navigate between five checkpoints in order to unlock the chest at the end.
This jumping puzzle is packed with traps and difficult jumps, and at times, it can be hard to see what path you are supposed to take. The puzzle also contains lava spouts that can burn your glider, causing you to fall to your potential death. Overall, this is one of the most difficult jumping puzzles in the game.
