MELVIN VILLAVER: Through my research, I discovered that it's actually the host city who nominates the performers that they think-- They come up with a short list, then they bring it to the NFL. Then the NFL discusses this with their various boards and their sponsors to see if this is a good fit. So for example, this year, Super Bowl LVIII, 2024 in Las Vegas. we have Usher. But we know Usher's had a residency in Las Vegas for the last three-ish years. And so Usher being in Las Vegas and being a resident of Las Vegas as a performer kind of gives the city of Las Vegas an incentive to promote him because he's also promotion for their, like, commerce, whether that's tourism, the hotel industry, things like that. Usher brings people into Vegas, and putting usher in the spotlight works for Las Vegas.
