As a mom to three, I just love it when my kids enjoy something just as much as I did when I was their age.
For me, Ellio’s Pizza is the most nostalgic food in the grocery store. You see, my mom would always buy it for us kids, and we’d enjoy it on the weekend. It was a brand I loved 20 years ago, and appreciate even more now than ever!
When you have picky eaters, finding foods that they will consistently eat is so hard. One day they might love one food and the next day, they might despise it. Thankfully, my three kiddos love Ellio’s Pizza. My son especially enjoys Ellio’s Pepperoni Pizza because he loves when I cook it the extra crispy method – just preheat your oven to 425°f, put pizza directly on the rack and bake for 11-12 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
And my personal favorites? It’s the Five Cheese Pizza or Pepperoni – they have the perfect kick of flavors!
Now that I am older, I like to read food labels a little more carefully, especially when it comes to the foods I serve my children. I love that Ellio’s Pizzauses only the freshest ingredients, with 100% real cheese and no artificial flavors. That is a total win in my book for such tasty, convenient food.
For sides, I have to be very careful to serve foods that I know my picky eaters will enjoy. My kids are all about brightly colored foods, so the more color a food has; the more likely they are to try it.
You might be struggling with picky eaters too, so I wanted to share some fresh kid-friendly side dishes to pair with Ellio’s Pizza:
Garden Side Salad: Made with basic lettuce mix, some fresh cucumber and tomato. This fool-proof salad easily adds some vegetables to any meal.
Fresh Fruits Salad: My kids are all about the seasonal fruits lately. Thankfully, they do not discriminate when it comes to fruit so this makes the perfect pizza side dish for kids!
Veggie Pasta Salad: Macaroni, Italian Dressing, and some simple veggies like tomato, cucumber, carrot, and broccoli make for one zesty, kid-approved side dish.
Greek Yogurt with Fruit & Nuts: In our home, we use plain Greek yogurt in so many dishes. I like to balance the tart flavor with some fresh blueberries, strawberries, and I add assorted nuts for protein.
Corn Chips & Salsa:I love chips and salsa and so do my kiddos. The flavors of Ellio’s Pizza and the chips and salsa duo pair so well with each other making it the perfect savory side.
Apples & Cheddar: Last year we first discovered how tasty apple and cheddar cheese were together. Now, we cannot get enough and love to pair this combo with meals like pizza, and sandwiches.
These Easy, Kid-Friendly Corn Dog Side Dishes for a Quick Meal also make a great pizza side dish.
As you can see, there are so many fresh side dishes that pair perfectly with Ellio’s Pizza.

I love the idea of paring fruit with pizza. Everybody does the salad thing. That pasta was a great idea, too.

One of the kids’ fave lunches is pizza from home in their thermos (cut in strips to fit). I usually pair it with fruit like you but it gets gobbled up when the fruit is on a stick.
Five cheese is my most favorite! Tastes like childhood!

These pizza and sides meal combos are great ideas. My kids were never picky with their food, and I am thankful for that. I have to get some of those Ellio’s pizza and keep it in stock so my kids can fix themselves a snack or even have it for dinner for those days when I will be home late.

This would be good to have on stock at home. My children are always (like ALWAYS) hungry and this would be the perfect solution to appease their forever grumbling tummies. They are old enough to fix themselves a meal so Ellio’s pizza will be their every-ready food they can truly enjoy.
