More About Error Code P0700
Error code P0700 signifies that a malfunction has been detected in your vehicle’s transmission controls. Most modern automobiles feature a specific control module as it relates to the vehicle’s automatic transmission. This module is known as the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
A vehicle’s TCM monitors the sensors of the transmission system. These sensors send important data to the engine control module (ECM). If there are any problems detected when the ECM reads this information, a P0700-P0702 error code will be triggered. Solutions for this issue could be as simple as changing your transmission fluid. But, in some cases, repairs may be as complex as overhauling your transmission.
