Top 10 Super Bowl Foods | Knup Sports (2024)

We all watch the Super Bowl for different reasons. Some people love the action on the field, others love the halftime show, and countless people just use the game as a reason to attend a party. However, one part of the Super Bowl is common ground for everyone who tunes in to watch the big game…THE FOOD!

Here are my top 10 Super Bowl foods. Try not to get too hungry reading this mouthwatering list.

10 | Corn Chips

Corn Chips are the perfect start to your Super Bowl menu. This snack can be served with a variety of salsas, guacamole, or even eaten plain. Corn chips give every person watching the game a nice snack to stay satisfied while the main dishes are cooking during the pregame show.

9 | Brownies

The chocolate brownie originated in 1905 when a woman named Fanny Farmer adapted her chocolate cookie recipe to fit into a square pan. This evolved into a variety of brownie recipes that are made all over the world.

If you’re not having brownies at your Super Bowl party, I’ll be spending the big game elsewhere. The grab and go style of brownies make them the all-time Super Bowl dessert. No other dessert made my list. That’s how much I value brownies on Super Bowl Sunday.

8 | Buffalo Chicken Dip

Putting buffalo chicken dip at 8thon my list may cause some controversy, but I don’t care. Buffalo chicken dip is solid and it deserves a spot on this list. Although, it’s nothing to write home about in my mind.

The benefit of buffalo chicken dip is that’s easy to make. You throw together shredded chicken, blue cheese, ranch, hot sauce, cheese and stick it in the oven. This helps maximize your time watching the game.

7 | Burgers

Burgers are a sports bar staple, so it makes sense to eat burgers while you’re watching the biggest football game of the year. Burgers are flexible for everyone on your guest list. You can add any toppings you’d like to a hamburger to cater this iconic food to your liking.

6 | Pulled Pork

Barbecue and American sports go together like peanut butter and jelly. With the Chiefs playing in Super Bowl LV, how could I not put pulled pork on this list? Kansas City BBQ is iconic and there isn’t a better smoked meat than pulled pork.

On Super Bowl Sunday, put a pork shoulder in the crock pot a few hours before the game and kick back in front of the TV. Your food will be ready right before kickoff!

5 | Chili

Chili is a classic Super Bowl comfort food. There are all different types of chili, but this pot of goodness should be on your Super Bowl menu in some form. Chili can be tough to eat when the game starts to come down to the wire, so this is the perfect pregame meal.

Chili is hard to mess up so the worst cook in the world can have success with this dish. Chili is also a great excuse to down some cornbread. YUM!

4 | Potato Skins

Potatoes, cheese, and bacon…

Do I need to say anymore? Potato skins compile three great items to create an irresistible food. You can add special cuts of bacon, use your favorite cheese, and make tons of dipping sauces for potato skins. Skins are a fan favorite all over the United States during the big game.

3 | Nachos

Nachos are pretty hard to dislike. If you don’t think they belong on this list, think again. Nachos are made with corn chips, beef, chicken, beans, melted cheese, salsa, and guacamole. You can make nachos any way that you’d like which is why they’re so amazing.

I’m a simple guy. When I eat nachos, I cover corn chips with chili and cheese before baking the dish in the oven. I’m drooling just thinking about this Hall of Fame snack.

2 | Pizza

Pizza and the NFL should have an official partnership. There are very few people that dislike pizza. It’s a classic all over the world and a perfect meal for the Super Bowl. If you hate to cook or just want to worry about the game, call your local pizza restaurant.

An estimated 12.5 million pizzas will be ordered during Super Bowl LV in the United States. That’s a pretty massive figure, but not close to the statistic that the #1 Super Bowl food claims every year. KEEP READING…

1 | Chicken Wings

It’s tough to find a Super Bowl food ranking that doesn’t list wings as the number one pick. If you like chicken, you will easily fall in love with chicken wings. Some people like their wings bone-in and others like boneless, but there is a style and sauce flavor for everyone.

My go-to wing is garlic parmesan, but I’ll also eat BBQ or buffalo wings like they’re going out of style. I’m not the only football fan who is like this on Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, 1.25 billion chicken wings will be consumed when the Buccaneers battle the Chiefs on Sunday.

Have fun chowing down during Super Bowl LV!
