Well, well, well marriage is on the card, ey? But you’re not sure if they’re your ideal match when it comes to their star sign?

Luckily we’ve got you covered. If you’re wondering who should a Pisces marry then you need to look no further.

We’ve crunched the numbers and found that Taurus is your ideal match. Your worst compatibility rating is with Gemini’s and a good compromise is a Capricorn. But we can’t just give you that information without some context now, can we?

Who Should a Pisces Marry? (1)

Who Should a Pisces Marry?

In this article, we’re going to really look into what makes a Pisces tick. From there we’ll take a deep look into four of their ideal marriage suitors and explain our reasons for choosing them.

Not content with just the best matches we’ll also tell you the reasons why four signs ranked bottom of our compatibility scoring system.

Finally, we’ll let you know our compatibility percentage for all twelve of the zodiac signs. Sounds pretty damn in-depth if we do say so ourselves. That’s just the way we like to do things here at Story Amour.

Right then Pisces, are you ready to get down to business? Let’s find out who you should marry and why!

Pisces Personality

So you probably know yourself pretty well but it’s still worth outlining the personality traits of a Pisces. After all, it could be one of the many other star signs reading this article to find out what you’re like and whether they should consider you for marriage.

Pisces are governed by Neptune and as such they’re highly creative and love to explore their boundless imaginations. The energy that a Pisces gives off is much like the ocean (their animal sign is the fish so it makes sense) They’re magical, full of mystique but also a little bit scary.

Their dreams and ambition can really drive them forward to pursue relationships that others may think are out of their reach.

In relationships and marriages though they can have one major flaw. We’re sorry to say it but it’s their reputation for being flaky and oftentimes delusional. Yeh, we said it!

This can inevitably lead to problems in relationships especially early on. They can also oftentimes overlook problems that are staring them right in the face. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, confrontation in a relationship can be healthy. However, bottling it up can lead to resentment and frustration. It’s always best to have an open line of communication with your partner, especially around the big topics in your relationship.

With that being said though they’re also known for putting others first so will prioritize their partner’s happiness. Not only that but they’re also highly adaptable and very easily see the world from other people’s perspectives. This is what makes them great options for a lot of star signs to consider when thinking about marriage.

Who is Pisces Twin Flame?

It might not be the answer you want to hear but Pisces twin flame could literally be anyone. The idea of a twin flame is that it’s someone you have an innate connection with on a spiritual level.

Of course, that could be guided in part by their star sign and initial attraction and conversation may start up this way. You should know though if you’ve met your twin flame well before marriage is on the cards.

It will be much more about the energy you feel when you’re in each other’s company rather than it being linked to any particular star sign.

It’ll be something that you can’t quite put your finger on but you know that you feel the connection when you find it. It’s a deep spiritual connection and if you’re lucky enough to have found your counterpart of “twin flame” you’ll definitely know about it.

Who can provide Marital Bliss for a Pisces?

So, you already know that we’ve picked Taurus as the most compatible sign for a Pisces to marry. However, we also have close contenders in the form of Cancerians, Scorpios, and Capricorns.

In this next section, we’re going to take a look at why they made the top four in a little more detail.

Taurus

Reliability, trustworthiness, and practicality, it may sound like we’re describing the perfect car but no! These are the qualities you can expect to find in a Taurus. They’re just some of the reasons we find them to be the ideal match for a Pisces when thinking about marriage.

The combination of this pairing is perfect for a harmonious and happy life. Whilst the Taurus brings practicality and a grounding energy to the relationship Pisces brings their creative charm and emotional depth. This allows Pisces to dream big but knows that they’re stable at the same time. Together they can achieve great things as they contrast but in the most amazing way. Essentially where one falls short the other picks up the slack creating the perfect atmosphere.

Not only all that but in a marriage both signs value trust and commitment. Once they’ve made those vows to each other nothing is going to break them apart.

Story Amour Rating: 10/10

Cancer

A fellow water sign it’s easy to see why Cancers are high up on our list of the best suitors.

We’ve previously written about Cancer’s ideal match and it’s obvious that these two can tackle anything together. They do this in a way that can create a loving, supportive, and nurturing partnership that will be the envy of everyone around them.

They speak to one another on that creative level each with their own vivid imaginations. At the same time the emotional connection that these two form is to be admired. They both go hard when it comes to emotions and will be very empathetic toward one another.

You know when you find someone that you just connect with? You can have a conversation without saying very little at all. Well, that perfectly describes these two. And that’s just perfect in a marriage particularly if there are kiddos around as well. It helps to add harmony and peacefulness to the home and strengthen the bond as a couple.

The major bonus of them being in touch with their emotions could also be their downfall though. If their emotions spill over and they don’t feel as supported as they need to be then it could spell disaster. That’s why they come in a close second to Taurus with a 9 out of 10 score.

Scorpio

Another force to be reckoned with is the emotional connection that Pisces can share with a Scorpio. Much like the Cancer connection they both share a deep understanding of each other’s emotional needs that can create harmony.

They’re also both fiercely loyal and will be devoted to the cause of marriage no matter what obstacles are thrown their way. That’s not to say this pairing is boring though. Not by any means. In fact, they can both be highly passionate whether that’s on an emotional level or a physical one, wink, wink.

In a similar way to the pairing with a Cancerian if emotions are allowed to spill over it could get a little too intense for both parties. At the same time what knocks this pairing down a peg or two is that there can also be power struggles at play. They both have strong opinions so if they do butt heads it can get a little messy.

As with all relationships but especially marriage, it’s about compromise. If they can get over these minor hiccups they can be the ideal marital pairing.

Story Amour Rating: 8/10

Capricorn

Ambitious, determined, and practical are words often associated with a Capricorn. It’s therefore easy to see why a Pisces would be drawn to this star sign and consider them as a top match for marriage.

This earth sign can provide stability in marriage and allow Pisces to dream big in the way they do. They sort of bounce off of each other, where one brings structure the other brings creativity. This helps the two of them to find balance and harmony and tackle many of the challenges that a married couple will face over the years.

However, the same difference that bonds them may cause tensions if issues are allowed to fester. They’ll need to find harmony and what works for them to make it through these problems. Equally, as a Pisces is so intensely emotional it may cause friction when a Capricorn struggles to show theirs. On the other side of the coin, a Capricorn may become frustrated at a Pisces for getting emotional at the first sign of trouble rather than thinking about things practically.

For these reasons, we still think they make an excellent pairing but they made it to the bottom of our top four. A 7 out of 10 though isn’t all bad when you think about it, is it?!

Who Should a Pisces Not Marry?

With how great a Pisces sounds you might be thinking surely they’d be a perfect match for any sign.

Well, you’d be wrong and there are definite signs that can rub each other the wrong way. Clashing in a major way with their personality traits is a recipe for disaster. It’s definitely not a good idea for a happily ever after of marital bliss that’s for sure!

So let’s take a look at some signs we think you should definitely avoid with a 10-foot pole!

Gemini

These two are complete polar opposites when it comes to many of the fundamentals of a happy and harmonious marriage. That’s why we’d recommend avoiding them if at all possible.

Their different energy levels can definitely cause conflict in a marriage. Just think about it. A Gemini is full of beans and in constant need of exercising their mental side with intellectual stimulation. Pisces on the other hand may need to take a breather from time to time. The huge disparity can make it hard for them both to enjoy the same sorts of activities.

The same can be said for how they both deal with conflict. With a Gemini, it’s all about detaching oneself and being as rational as possible. Whereas a Pisces is much more of a sensitive creature that may let their emotions get the better of them.

We wrote a whole article on who a Gemini should marry. It’s safe to say that Pisces didn’t come close!

Sagittarius

Remember how we have banged on and on about how deep and emotional Pisces is? Well, a Sagittarius is a bit more of a free spirit and they’re fiercely independent so it’s hard to see how these two would connect in a marriage.

A Pisces craves this emotional connection and a Sagittarius is just unlikely to provide them with what they need. Explains why they didn’t even get a sniff when we compiled our list of suitors for a Sagittarius, doesn’t it?

Not only that but they also clash on their communication styles. You know those people that are really outspoken and direct? Yeh? Well, that is a Sagittarius down to a tee! A Pisces on the other hand is much more likely to be mild-mannered and a little more ambiguous in their communication style.

This can often lead to either embarrassment for one party or pressure to be louder than life for the other. All things that can lead to conflict in a marriage.

Aries

Talk about contrasting personalities! It doesn’t get much worse than Pisces and Aries.

Whilst we know that Pisces are super sensitive beings who are well in touch with their emotions Aries is the complete opposite. They are known for their assertiveness and communicating in a direct way and this can really rub a Pisces up the wrong way. It can be very overwhelming for a Pisces and as a result, could cause major rifts in a marriage.

Equally, should any arguments arise which is always likely for a married couple they could also hit a brick wall here. Aries will be willing to tackle this head-on in an attempt to resolve an issue as quickly as possible. A passive Pisces on the other hand is much more likely to avoid that confrontation at all costs. Thus feelings and emotions are allowed to fester which isn’t healthy for a happy married life.

Best Husband for a Pisces Woman

There are certain characteristics that a Pisces woman should look for in their partner. Equally, however, the same can be said for Pisces men. No matter your sex or who you are interested in, the same desirable characteristics are usually sought out for marriage.

  • Emotional Sensitivity: A Pisces will usually look for someone who can get on board with their emotional side. That doesn’t mean they need to be a blubbering wreck every five minutes but that they are understanding when emotions are running high.
  • Creativity and Imagination: As we well know Pisces is a creative force that likes to show off their artistic side from time to time. Of course, finding someone that can appreciate that or better yet nurture that further will be the ideal partner for a Pisces.
  • Compassion and Empathy: Once again if someone can match a Pisces in their compassion for others they’re onto a winner. This will help to strengthen the bond of marriage and is a good precursor for either getting a pet or thinking about children.
  • Patience and Understanding: “They say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one” Pisces summed up in a song. As they’re such big dreamers they need someone that will support them and offer them stability whilst they pursue their ambitions.

Pisces Compatibility Percentage

Now, let’s explore the compatibility percentages of Pisces with other zodiac signs to gain a better understanding of potential connections:

Taurus (Bull): April 20–May 20

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 100%.

We’ve already touched on these two love birds and they’re a match made in heaven. They both value a deep and emotional connection. At the same time, they also put a great amount of emphasis on romance, security, and loyalty. Three essential ingredients for a healthy married life.

Pisces (Fish): February 19–March 20

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 95%.

A bit of Pisces on Pisces action we hear you say. Well yeah as you might have guessed this is a really great combo for marriage. They’ll share lots of the same features that are ideal for marriage. The only trouble is that they’re slightly too similar so that could cause conflicts in the long run.

Cancer (Crab): June 22–July 22

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 90%.

Once again it’s all about a Cancers getting on board with a Pisces at an emotional level. They can have deep and meaningful conversations about all of life’s ups and downs. Ultimately this helps to support Pisces in their time of need and they’re equally happy to repay the favor.

Scorpius (Scorpion): October 24–November 21

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 80%.

Once again when you match well on an emotional level there’s not much that can affect you. That’s why Pisces and Scorpio get such a high rating from us. Equally, both are fiercely loyal and there isn’t a much better barometer for a good marriage than that, is there?

Capricornus (Goat): December 22–January 19

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 70%.

A Capricorn is somewhat of a mid-level match for a Pisces. Not amazing but also not the worst by a long stretch. A Capricorn will be there come rain or shine to support a Pisces in their dreams and aspirations. These same benefits however can sometimes work against this pairing at times.

Libra (Balance): September 23–October 23

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 65%.

If you’re a Pisces who likes the arts then you may need to look no further than a Libra. You’ll both be able to appreciate beauty in all its forms which will only serve to enhance your creativity. Conflict can occur however due to Pisces’ quick and impulsive decision making. By contrast, a Libra likes to weigh up the pros and cons rather than acting on instinct.

Virgo (Virgin): August 23–September 22

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 60%.

As you will have noticed the percentage of compatibility is slowly dropping. That’s not to say these pairings can’t work, it just relies on both parties working to iron out those kinks. Ultimately, for this pairing, it would be the dreamy and whimsical nature of a Pisces contrasting with a more practical and methodical Virgo.

Aquarius (Water Bearer): January 20–February 18

Compatibility percentage: 60%.

We all know by now how much emphasis Pisces puts on those emotions of theirs. An Aquarius however, may struggle to get on board with this as they’re known for being a little more detached. In the end, if an Aquarius finds a Pisces’ emotions overbearing it could lead to problems, especially in a marriage.

Leo (Lion): July 23–August 22

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 50%.

Oooo dear, we now enter the 50% and below for compatibility. To kick us off we have Leo’s. They can seek admiration a little too often for a Pisces to get behind. They want to be the center of attention. If it’s not all about them it could spell disaster for this pairing. It’s also very likely that will be the case as well as a Pisces will be focusing on their own personal emotions and won’t feel supported.

Gemini (Twins): May 21–June 21

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 40%.

We’ve already told you in more depth that these two aren’t a good match. At the same time, it’s not to say that there can’t be that initial spark between these two for a romantic relationship. However, there’s a big difference between that and making it work for the long term as a married couple.

Sagittarius (Archer): November 22–December 21

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 40%.

With this pairing, a Sagitarrius would need to get over their fear of feeling like they’re getting tied down. Quite difficult in a marriage, isn’t it? A Pisces really places high value on commitment and security from their partner so it’s difficult to see how this could work in the long term

Aries (Ram): March 21–April 19

Compatibility for marriage percentage: 40%.

Much like we’ve said about the pairing of a Gemini and a Pisces there may be an initial spark between a Pisces and an Aries. However, whether that can last the test of time of marriage seems unlikely. Aries are known for their fiery personalities often wanting to take control of situations. In some instances, this can be a good thing for a passive Pisces. However, if it rubs them up the wrong way it could spell disaster. If they can overcome these problems then it’s a pairing that could definitely work. Much like all the signs on our list, compromise is essential even with a good match.

Conclusion

So there we have it! an in-depth look into who a Pisces should marry. As we told you at the start Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, and Capricorn all make the top of our list with a high compatibility score across the board.

Equally, there’s nothing ruling out a bit of Pisces on Pisces action for the ultimate match. Of course, most people look for similar values and traits in their marital partner so there’s no surprise that this can work out really well.

We hope that reading our article will have helped you to understand why we also chose some poor matches for a Pisces. Gemini, Sagittarius, and Aries all place value on the different aspects of life. It’s not to say it can’t work but it will require dedication and an open line of communication between both parties, something that may not come naturally to either sign.

Our opinion is that whilst yes, star signs can be a factor in marriage compatibility, they shouldn’t be the only ones. All relationships but especially marriages take a lot of work to be successful. Whoever you marry, make sure to remember that and enter it with a mindset of dedication, loyalty, and support and you’ll be much more likely to succeed.

We wish you luck on your journey to finding the perfect marital partner.
