Using aluminum foil for storage purposes can become problematic when it comes to certain types of food. For example, when storing foods that have a high acidity level, such tomato sauce, you should not use foil as the acids can interact with the aluminum and make it erode. This results in holes in the foil where small amounts of aluminum can be transferred to your food, giving it a metallic taste.

Glad ClingWrap: Yes. Allow 1 inch of space between ClingWrap and food. Turn back one corner of ClingWrap to vent. Use of any plastic product with food high in fat and sugar may cause melting. Always use caution when removing wrap from heated foods.
Glad Food Bags: Yes. When microwaving, open the zipper about an inch to vent and place bag on a plate.

We do not recommend the using Glad wraps, bags, or GladWare containers in the oven. Glad OvenWare is specifically designed for gas ovens, convection ovens and conventional ovens, though the lid is not designed for use with conventional ovens. We recommend that you place a cookie sheet underneath when cooking.
- Do Glad® products contain BPA or phthalates?
No. All Glad food protection products do not contain any phthalates or polycarbonate, nor is Bisphenol A (BPA) used as a raw material in their production.- Do Glad® products contain PVC?
No. We don’t use any polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics in our products. Our products are made from polyethylene and don’t contain any plasticizers.

Locking lids together is easy — just place one lid on a flat surface and a second lid of the same shape on top. Once you have locked lids together, store the stack of connected lids in your container storage area.
