There isn't really a difference between the two. Although, I would see mothers saying "Have you had your lunch?" more often 😅

For me, I would say, "Did you have lunch?" or "Did you get lunch?"

@simbaa: They mean the same but depending on the context. "Did you have lunch?", can refer to yesterday or last week ect, depend on the context.

"Have you had your lunch" means have you had your most recent lunch.
You can also say, "have you had lunch?". By adding "your", it can mean a specific lunch that you made or was made for you.

Does "most recent lunch" you mentioned above mean today's lunch?

Then, is it preferable to say "Have you had lunch today?" than "Did you have lunch today?" :)
