Rene Bellamy is Trevor Holden's girlfriend. They both attend Lester High School with their clique of friends.
Biography[]
Rene and Trevor had been dating for some time prior to the fight which would've killed the host Trevor. Hearing about his near-death experience, Rene immediately texts him, then visits him at his house. After verifying his parents aren't around Rene tries to sleep with him, but Trevor declines, claiming he "lost" some memories because of his concussion. He'll need her help to find himself going forward to become the person he was before, a notion that Rene finds "beautiful". She leaves, claiming she doesn't want to but will because she loves him. (S1E01: Travelers)
Rene is made out to be a bully at her school. One day, she pushes a girl off a bench because she wanted to sit with Trevor. Trevor helps the girl back up to her feet, which perplexes Rene. She looks at Kyle who is also stumped at this behavior they haven't seen before from Trevor. When talking to the school councilor, Grace Day, she denies pushing the girl and breaking her phone. Grace punishes her with detention while Trevor offers to replace the phone before leaving. She gets annoyed at Trevor as he affirmed she isn't a nice person, and when wondering aloud asking what's wrong with him after he left, Grace responds she doesn't know either.
Afterward, Rene catches up to Trevor wanting to know why he said she isn't nice. He redirects the question back at her, and she responds she is nice... to him. She kisses him in an attempt to make out, but Philip Pearson calls Trevor through his comm. Trevor uses the moment to tell both Rene and Philip (through comms) to stop, then ditches Rene at school after receiving a text. Rene's demands to know who's texting him goes unanswered. Weeks later, Trevor helps Rene shop at a clothing store. Inside a fitting room she loudly complains she's getting fat because none of the garments fit; either she herself got fat or her boobs got bigger. She beckons Trevor inside the fitting room: her real objective is to steal the clothes with her boyfriend as an accomplice. Trevor declines, which again puzzles Rene because she thought it turned him (and her) on.
However, the shopkeeper catches on. Nick, Rene and Trevor's other friend, has been distracting the shopkeeper and bolts when the gig is up. Rene also makes a quick escape, leaving Trevor with the shopkeeper who demands he pay for what his friends stole. In the alley outside, Rene still thinks Trevor isn't really mad and asks him if he's getting worked up, but realizes he's being serious once an argument develops between Nick and Trevor over Patricia Holden's stolen benzodiazepines. She tries to defuse the tension, but Nick manages to punch Trevor before leaving.
Later in the day, Rene accompanies Trevor at a quiet park for meditation, though she spends it staring at her man instead of actually meditating. Trevor confides his feelings of being adrift after the Helios-685 mission, though Rene thinks it's about his decision to stop playing football in light of his concussion. She confesses she isn't with him because of his football popularity, but because of the size of his dick. She's joking, though more seriously she assures Trevor he's going to be someone great even without "his mission" (football or Helios) driving him anymore. (S1E07: Protocol 5)
After learning Trevor has been hospitalized, Rene visits him and learns the extent of his injuries, complaining about his parents who took too long to leave. She checks if he can't really feel anything below the waist, feeling up his thighs then his groin, though Trevor warns her the nurse can catch them. It proves to be a minor buzzkill for Rene, but she promises to visit him tomorrow, the next day and the next, punctuating it with kisses. (S2E02: Protocol 4)
After some time apart where Rene had been away, she messages Trevor to meet and saying that it's an emergency. She says things have changed and she doesn't know what she wants right now. Trevor tells her she's growing and she'll make the right decision with enough time. They never see each other again afterward, with Trevor starting to focus on being a full-time Traveler.
