SIM cards (2024)

Hi,

I recently purchased a new iPhone 13 and in the shipping/specs information two SIM cards are listed. A "Gemalto Virtual 4G 5G Interim SIM" and then a SIM that is associatedwith the actual phone. I am assuming the virtual one is actually virtual and has a specific use and the know the other is physical. I could use a little more in depth explanation.

Thanks so much!
