Do you have chicken that you need a recipe for? Looking for something to switch up your flavors at meal time? Check and check! I have you covered with this Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Chicken from Gooseberry Patch’s303 Simple and Satisfying Recipes.
Aunt Lou here. I had some chicken in the freezer that I needed to use up. I wasn’t sure what to make, but since we have been eating chicken a LOT ever since we found the greatest deal everlast year, I knew I wanted to do something that would switch up the flavors a bit. So I was definitely intrigued when I saw this recipe for Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Chicken. Sloppy Joes made with chicken? Maybe this is something that is common in other parts of the country, but around here, I have never heard of such a thing. Nor did I know that there was a Sloppy Joe mix! I am a Manwich girl through and through. I blame Momma. It was what she always used when we are kids, and even though some of the best made-from-scratch-cookin’ ladies have had me try their homemade Sloppy Joes, I still prefer my Manwich (and just to make sure we are clear…Manwich has NO idea who I am or that I will forever endorse their yummy goodness). However, I have no preference when it comes to chicken. I’ve never HAD chicken as a Sloppy Joe, so I thought I would give this a shot. And yep…this Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Chicken is pretty yummy! We served it up on rice like the recipe says, but Michael wants to use the leftovers and put it on a bun. So give it a try however you want!

Hi Martina!I haven’t tried anything in place of honey. You might try molasses. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
