As Vanderpump Ruleshas documented over the last few years, Tom Schwartz's journey as a bar owner has been filled with exciting moments and notable challenges. Now, as Tom explained to The Daily Dish,Tom Tom is "thriving" and Schwartz and Sandy's is"in the midst of a bit of a rebirth or a resurgence," he is starting to thinkabout his next venture.
Is Tom Schwartz opening a new bar?
"I low-key think that I want to open at least one more bar," Tom told The Daily Dish on February 20. "But just like a dive bar, bare bones."
Although Tom has no immediate plans to start a new business, he already has a vision for his future bar, explaining it would be "maybe like 800 square feet" with "ideally no food."
"Just a good old-fashioned, quirky little dive bar," he said.
"I'm very proud of what we have now," he explained, referring to Schwartz & Sandy's, whichhe owns with Tom Sandoval."It's just tough. It's a brutal business...but I keep coming back for more."

Through the ups and downs Tom has experienced opening both bars, he noted,"I have amazing [mentors]: Lisa Vanderpump, Greg Morris [an owner of Schwartz & Sandy's], [and] my dad opened a bunch of bars."

He added, "I don't know how much I believe in fate, but it kind of feels fated, inevitable that I was going to be in this industry."

Although there have been rumors circulating recently that Schwartz & Sandy's could be closing, Tom explained to The Daily Dish in the same interview that he is beyond excited about the future of the bar.
"We have a newfound sense of camaraderiethere," he said. "Me and my partners, [Sandoval], Greg, we have momentum again. We're communicating clearly. I just feel like the vibes are different in there."
While Tom admitted, "That place almost broke me, literally, figuratively. Every way, shape or form," he shared that it also made him "a better person."
