It’s time to think about making a gorgeous Christmas charcuterie board for holiday snacking. Perfect for a weekend game night, cozying up next to a fire or as the opening act to a special dinner, these fancy grazing plates add festive flair to an evening at home. And they’re easier than you might think to put together.
Don’t forget to keep this Christmas cheese board guide handy.
How to Make a Charcuterie Wreath
You can’t hang this particular wreath on your door. However, you can dress it up however you like. To get started, you’ll need a cutting board or platter to arrange your “wreath” on, and some small plates for serving if you’d like to gather up several bites at a time. (co*cktail napkins will also do the trick.) Plus, all the fixin’s, of course!
Some delicious go-tos include charcuterie meats, cheeses (sliced or cubed), olives, roasted nuts, creamy spreads, crackers, veggies and herbs (for the leafy part). You can even include some sweet bites like dried fruits, chocolate-covered nuts or one-bite Christmas cookies.
Simply arrange everything in a circle, then serve it up!
Crackers to Pair with Your Charcuterie

Thyme-Sea Salt CrackersThese homemade crackers are decidedly light and crispy. An addictive snack on their own, they also pair well with a sharp white cheddar. —Jessica Wirth, Charlotte, North Carolina
Cheese CrispiesFor years I’ve taken these crispy, crunchy snacks to work. They get high marks from everybody in the teachers lounge. —Eileen Ball, Cornelius, North Carolina
Homemade Honey GrahamsThe way my boys eat them, I would spend a fortune on honey graham crackers at the grocery store. So I decided to make a homemade version that is less processed—and less expensive. These are wonderful, although they still don't last long. —Crystal Jo Bruns, Iliff, Colorado
Spicy Cheese CrackersMaking cheese crackers usually means it’s party time at our families’ houses. My brothers frequently try to sneak them behind our mom’s back just to get a reaction out of her. —Donna Lindecamp, Morganton, North Carolina
Cheddar-Pecan CrispsLots of holiday treats are sweet. For a change of pace, I fill goodie bags with my cheese crackers. The recipe has a large yield, but you can freeze the dough logs to bake later. —Heather Necessary, Shamokin Dan, Pennsylvania
