Can you stay in visage form as an Evoker? ›

Yep, in fact… visage form is allowed in combat for Evokers, the thing is, using breath abilities auto shifts you to dragon form, and you will have to spend a global cooldown to shift back into normal form.

Once you reach Stormwind/Orgrimmar, you will then be given a quest to tour the city. Upon completion of that quest, this spell becomes available from Wrathion/Ebyssian.

To make a Dracthyr your account must be upgraded with the Dragonflight expansion. You can only have 1 Dracthyr per realm, and after your first Dracthyr character, you must already have a character above level 50 on the realm you want to make your Dracthyr on.

Important Facts About Dracthyr and Evokers

Only the new Dracthyr race can be Evokers -- and Evoker is the only class choice available to Dracthyr at this point. Since Evoker powers use inherent abilities of the Dragonflights, it makes sense that this would remain a race-bound class.

You can only have one Dracthyr character per realm. Your Dracthyr Evoker will start at level 58 in the new Forbidden Reach zone. During the creation process, you will be given the option to choose between the Horde or Alliance faction.

Evoker is a mail-wearing Healer or RDPS. They can equip Daggers, Staves, Fist Weapons, One-Handed Swords, One-Handed Axes, and One-Handed Maces. They can also use off-hand items, but cannot dual wield.

I've genuinely enjoyed my Evoker - both the class and Dracthyr. The customization options for Dracthyr were a pleasant surprise and the class itself offers a different enough experience from the other classes and sort of allows you to play as a “melee mage” as well, or at least so it feels. Really like it so far.
