In-depth Bedwars Guide:
In this guide I will be going in-depth on how to learn how to speed bridge, all the items in the item shop and what there uses are, and much more for all of you new beginners in bedwars!
Learn How to Speed Bridge: Speed Bridging consist of you unshifting and clicking at the same time! It will take time to learn and you may get frustrated with it. But never give up on it! (I am not apart of this Youtube channel in any way!)
There is many bridging technic's in bedwars the most common and useful one is Speed Bridging!
All The Items in the Bedwars shop and there uses:
These items will be put into categories from the cheapest to the most expensive. They will have what there uses would be once you purchase the items. I will also be putting them into groups; Iron, Gold, Diamonds, and Emeralds. I hope this helps some of you new players that don't know the item shop!
Price: 4 Iron for 16 wool Price: 4 Iron for 16 Ladders Price: 10 Iron for 1 stone sword
Location: Block Section in the Shop
Use: Most used block in the game, its main use is to build to each island. It's other use is for bed defenses in solo's or doubles you could double layer it. In 3's and 4's it is normally used in the last layer to cover up endstone, etc
Best tool to break the block: Shears is the fastest way to break wool, but you can also use your fist!
Location: Block Section in the Shop
Use: The main use is to ladder clutch, this is where you place a ladder on a block and you take no fall damage. Other uses are to pillar up and place ladders so you can climb up them. You can also place them on your bed defense to reduce the tnt and fireball damage.
Best tool to break the block: An axe is the best way to break ladders, you can also use your fist.
Location: Sword Section in shop
Difference between other swords: Wooden sword does 4 hears of damage. every hit, stone sword does 5 hearts of damage every hit, and an iron sword does 6 hearts of damage, every hit. This is a big difference if you are not good at pvp.
Price:
10 Iron for Tier 1 (Wooden Axe)
10 Iron for Tier 2 (Stone Axe)
3 Gold for Tier 3 (Iron Axe)
6 Gold for Tier 4 (Diamond Axe)
Location: Tool Section in the Shop
Use: This is a permanent purchase for 10 iron but if you buy a Tier 2 stone axe and you die then it will go back to a Tier 1. For instance, say you got a Diamond Axe and you fall in the void, then it will become a Iron axe. The use for this item is to break wood and ladders! You can also PVP with an axe if you prefer it over a sword. The higher the tier the faster it will break the blocks!
Price: 10 Iron for Tier 1 (Wooden Pickaxe)
10 Iron for Tier 2 (Iron Pickaxe)
3 Gold for Tier 3 (Gold Pickaxe)
6 Gold for Tier 4 (Diamond Pickaxe)
Location: Tool Section in the Shop
Use: This is a permanent purchase for 10 iron but if you buy a Tier 2 stone pickaxe and you die then it will go back to a Tier 1. For instance, say you got a Diamond pickaxe and you fall in the void, then it will become a Iron pickaxe. With endstone, I recommend at least having an iron pickaxe, as this is somewhat faster than an wooden pickaxe. Finally, obsidian is best if mined with a diamond pickaxe. A golden one works, but takes quite a long time. Also, you can mine faster with Miner Maniac, more detail in the diamond/upgrade section.
Price: 12 Iron for 4 Glass Price: 16 Iron for 24 Harden Clay Price: 20 Iron for Shears Price: 24 Iron for 12 Endstone Price: 24 Iron for 1 Pop-up Tower
Location: Block Section in the Shop
Use: You should only use glass in 3's and 4's, as it is unnecessary in solos and doubles. The only purpose of glass, is to prevent TNT and Fireballs. With that being said, never put glass as your first layer, as people can easily break this. Putting glass in your second, third, or fourth layer is ideal. This way, you will still have a defense underneath the glass. The butterfly defense uses glass as it's second layer.
Location: Block Section of the Shop
Use: Commonly used as a bed defense, I would not recommend using it as your first layer! It is mainly used in 3's and 4's as the last layer because it is not TNT proof!
Best tool to break block: Pickaxe is the fastest way to break clay! You can use your fist but it takes roughly 15 seconds(correct me if I am wrong)
Location: Tool Section In The Shop
Use: To break wool faster, I would recommend in solo/doubles to only buy it if you have leftover iron to spend!
Location: Block Section in the Shop
Use: It's main use is for bed defense. It is most commonly picked by bedwars players since it is blast proof!
Best tool to break this block: A pickaxe is the best tool to break this block, I would recommend at least an iron pickaxe because a wooden one will take a little bit longer!
Location: Utility Section in the Shop
Use: The pop-up tower looks like a chest. The main use is for campers so they can buy a bow and protect their bed!
Price: 40 Iron For 1 Permanent Chainmail Armor
Location: Armor Section In The Shop
Use: Chainmail Armor is used when you don't have enough for Iron Armor but you want an upgrade from leather. I do not recommend this at all because you could do a lot more with that 40 iron!
Price: 40 Iron For 1 Fireball Price: 40 Iron For 1 Bed Bug Price: 120 Iron for 1 Dream Defender
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Fireballs are quite a versatile item. Many players use them to knock off people on bridges, since they are easy to aim, and explode. Another use of the fireball is to fireball the opponents defense. Keep in mind fireballs will not break glass, endstone, and obsidian. The final use of fireballs is to fireball jump. This is when you look down while running, and jumping right before you throw the fireball.
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Bed Bug's can be used as distractions, when you go invisible you can throw it down and distract the player/players while you break the bed!
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Dream Defenders are very expensive, you won't see them till close to the end of the game. Keep in mind if you go invis the dream defenders can still hit you and get rid of your invis!
Price: 2 Gold for 8 Arrows Price: 3 Gold for 1 Golden Apple Price: 3 gold in solo/doubles, 6 gold in 3's and 4's for 1 Water Bucket Price: 3 Gold for 6 Sponge In Solos/Doubles, 6 Gold For 6 Sponges In Threes/Four
Location: Bow Section In The Shop
Use: You must buy a bow and then you will be able to shoot the arrows at the players and knock them off into the void to protect your bed!
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Golden Apples are very useful, if you are low you just have to go buy one in the shop and then you will heal!
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Water is commonly put on top of the bed defense. This is used to prevent TNT, and fireballs. Another advantage is making it harder for people to mine your bed. It doesn't necessarily make it harder to mine, because everyone has aqua infinity on their helmets, but it is slower to walk into the base.
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: They are used to confuse the opponent so you can kill him/her; in my opinion sponges are useless and I don't recommend you purchase!
Price: 4 Gold for 1 Magic Milk Price: 4 Gold For 1 TNT In Singles/Doubles, 8 Gold For TNT In Threes/Fours Price: 5 Gold for 1 Knockback Stick Price: 7 Gold for 1 Iron Sword
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: If you drink the Magic Milk before going into a base then you will not trigger a trap if that team has one! This item is very useful in any mode of bedwars! Especially if you have invis!
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: To blow up enemy bed defenses! This item is very useful!
Location: Weapon Section In The Shop
Use: To knock people into the void!
Location: Weapons Section In The Shop
Use: Does a ton of damage but it is quiet expensive! I would recommend only buying this if you have spare gold!
Price: 12 Gold for 1 set of Permanent Iron Armor
Location: Armor Section In The Shop
Use: Iron Armor is the best thing to buy! It may be a little expensive but you will take less damage!
Price: 12 Gold For 1 Regular Bow Price: 24 Gold For 1 Power I Bow
Location: Bow Section In The Shop
Use: The bow is to shoot people off and to keep the distance between your enemy teams! You must have arrows to shoot!
Location: Bow Section In The Shop
Use: It may deal more damage but I would not recommend purchasing unless you have the spare gold and if there is an annoying team lol
In total, there are 4 traps purchasable with diamonds. The first trap you buy will be 1 diamond. If you already have an active trap and you want to buy another, it will cost 2 diamonds, and if you have 2 active traps, it will cost 4 diamonds. Note that if your trap was activated, and you have no active traps, it will cost 1 diamond. A trap does not work if you have no bed. I will be listing all the traps down below. Price: 1 Diamond for first trap, 2 Diamonds for second trap, 3 Diamonds for third trap. Price: 1 Diamond for first trap, 2 Diamonds for second trap, 3 Diamonds for third trap. Price: 1 Diamond for first trap, 2 Diamonds for second trap, 3 Diamonds for third trap. Price: 1 Diamond for first trap, 2 Diamonds for second trap, 3 Diamonds for third trap. Price: Solos/Doubles: 1 Diamond for Heal Pool, Threes/Fours: 3 Diamonds for Heal Pool Price: Solo/Doubles: 2 Diamonds for Protection I, 4 Diamonds for Protection II, 8 Diamonds for Protection III, 16 Diamonds for Protection IV. Price: Solos/Doubles 2 Diamond For Miner Maniac I, 4 Diamonds For Miner Maniac II.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: It is the most useful trap, it slows down the breaking speed of the enemy once the trap is triggered.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: The alarm trap is used to reveal an invis person from the opposition. It isn't as good as you think, because mostly everyone pairs invis with magic milk, making them immune to this trap.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: The counter-offensive trap gives you Speed I and Jump I for 8 seconds when someone is around your base. Keep in mind it only gives you this if you are at your base.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: Makes the opponent have blindness and slowness for 8 seconds!
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: When you are at base you will get regeneration (forever) AS LONG AS YOU ARE AT BASE
Threes/Fours: 5 Diamonds for Protection I, 10 Diamonds For Protection II, 20 Diamonds For Protection III, 30 Diamonds For Protection IV.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: Makes you take less damage (VERY USEFUL)
Threes/Fours 4 Diamonds For Miner Maniac I, 8 Diamonds For Miner Maniac II.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: Miner Maniac gives you haste so you can break blocks faster!
Price: Solos/Doubles 2 Diamonds for Iron Forge, 4 Diamonds for Gold Forge, 8 Diamonds For Emerald Forge, 16 Diamonds for 20 Diamonds. Price: Solos/Doubles 4 Diamonds For Sharpness I, Threes/Fours 8 Diamonds For Sharpness I
Threes/Fours 4 Diamond for Iron forge, 8 Diamonds for Gold Forge, 12 Diamond for Emerald Forge, 16 Diamond for Molten Forge.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: All forges upgrade the gen at your island. It makes the spawning of things faster. Emeralds will start spawning at emerald forge. This upgrade should only be purchased if you have tons of diamonds, or if you really need more resources and other team upgrades are maxed out.
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: Permanent Sharpness is something you should definitely consider buying. It makes all the swords and axes purchasable have sharpness I, and your wooden sword will also have sharpness I. Sharpness basically does more damage if you attack with your sword. It does roughly one more damage per hit.
Price: 5 Diamonds for Dragon Buff
Location: NPC With Team Upgrades
Use: Useless basically. It spawns an extra dragon for you in deathmatch, but it might destroy your base/kill you. Definitely do not buy, and most games do not go to deathmatch.
Price: 1 Emerald in Threes/Fours, 2 Emeralds in Solos/Doubles Price: 1 Emerald For 1 Speed Potion Price: 1 Emerald for 1 Jump Potion Price: 2 Emeralds For 1 invisibility potion Price: Threes/Fours: 3 Diamonds For 1 Diamond Sword, Solos/Doubles: 4 Diamonds For 1 Diamond Sword Price: 4 Emeralds For 1 Ender Pearl Price: 4 Emeralds For 4 Blocks Of Obsidian
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: Throw them to other bases to build a complete bridge across! They are not that helpful unless you are trying to escape (after you lost your bed)
Location: Potion Section In The Shop
Use: Gives you Speed I for 45 seconds so you can get places faster, and it helps in PVP situations
Location: Potion Section In The Shop
Use: Be able to jump out of sticky situations and jump over enemy's for 45 seconds!
Location: Potion Section In The Shop
Use: VERY USEFUL; you can invis and go to peoples bases the invis last for 30 seconds and you can get a bed! If you get hit once by anything (besides fall damage) the enemies will be able to see you! Also you leave behind foot prints so it is sometimes easy to spot if you are playing against and experienced player!
Location: Sword Section In The Shop
Use: The Diamond Sword is quite an expensive item for a one-time use item. Thus, you should not buy it unless you do not have a bed, or you have to take out one person who is really stacked. There are many other items you should spend your emeralds on before you buy this.
Location: Utility Section In The Shop
Use: You are able to teleport to other islands and get their bed or you can e-pearl out of sticky situations!
Location: Block Section In The Shop
Use: Obsidian is by far the best block to defend with. It is blast proof, and most of the times, you will need a diamond pickaxe. A gold pickaxe will also work, but will take a long time. (NOTE: YOU HAVE TO have 8 blocks to entirely cover your bed with obsidian)
Price: 6 Emeralds for Permanent Diamond Armor
Location: Armor Section In The Shop
Use: Diamond Armor is slightly better than Iron Armor. You should only get this (in my opinion) If you have extra emeralds after buying potions!
Price: 6 Emeralds for 1 Punch Bow
Location: Bow Section In The Shop
Use: Punch Bows are rarely found in games because they are very expensive for a one-time use. They do quite a lot of knockback while doing quite a lot of damage, but they are not really worth the 6 emeralds, since it can be easily counter with Invis (2 Emeralds).
These are all the items in Bedwars! I don't know why it made 2 Spoilers for each one. I don't know how to fix it or I would! Just go through all of them! This took ages so I hope it helped some of you!
How to w-tap:
w-tapping is the most common used method of pvp besides block hitting! Most of you are doing it all wrong! You don't constantly spam w! You have to time it perfectly! I found this Youtube video that might help you learn how to get INSANE combos! I am not associated in any way of any of these Youtube videos!
I hope this Forum was a little bit more in-depth and more professional than my other one! I may make a skywars one in the future depending on how good this one does!
