What is Bedwars?
Hypixels, Bedwars is a strategical twist of the famously known Egg Wars, you must use different strategies in order to protect your bed from being destroyed as you destroy others beds, which is the main objective of the game. After your bed is destroyed. You can no longer respawn! The objective of this game, is quite simple, kill your opponents bed while protecting your own, the shops which are the villagers can be quite useful in the heat of battle as well as protecting your bed.Bedwars Generators/Currency
Now you may have seen, an iron and gold generator in your base (it's behind you when you first spawn on your island), that is 50% of the currency used in bed wars, the diamond generators are on the sides of the map and the emerald generators are in the middle of the map respectively, when you first enter a game, all generators will start off at level I but after 10 minutes, the diamond generator will reach level II and will spawn more diamonds faster than level I, the emerald generator will do the same after 10 minutes, to produce emeralds, at the generator at your base you need a lot of diamonds so (Tier II or III is optional (second last upgrade, the final upgrade speeds the resources up by 200%) to upgrade the generator at your base you must collect an abundance amount of diamonds to unlock the forge team upgrade.
8 diamonds for all 3 generators tiers but they produce the resources at a faster rate.Item Shop
The Item shop is the villager that will trade iron, gold, and emeralds into useful items that range from Blocks to protect your bed, to Iron golems! The shop can supply you with blocks, tools, weapons, bows, potions, and items, which can either give you an advantage or lead an advantage on you! The item shop is usually at your base, depending on the map.

Team Upgrades
The team upgrade shop is an item shop, for your whole team. The items brought in team upgrades are applied to the whole team, these also give you an advantage or leads an advantage over you. The currency used in the team shop is diamonds (The only use of a girl's best friend). Here's what you can get
[Reinforced Armour] Adds protection I to all pieces of armor including you, Up to protection IV
[Sharpened Swords] Adds sharpness I to all you swords including the shop's swords
[Forge] increases the spawn rate of iron and gold by 50%, 100%, adds emeralds spawning with your gold and iron, 200%
[It's A Trap!] The next enemy to enter your base gets blindness for 5 seconds and you also get an alert on your screen saying that someone has entered your island
[Heal Pool] regeneration I for you and you teammates in a 5 block radius around bed
[Mining Fatigue] Gain mining fatigue I while in an 8 block radius around bed
[Maniac Miner] All players on your team permanently get haste I
[Dragon Buff] You get one extra dragon, during dragon time
Everything on Scoreboard
On the scoreboard, there are time limits or "quarters" they show when the next event is going to happen, there is 3x diamond generator quarters (Diamond upgrade diamond generator II and maxed) then there are 3x emerald generator quarters (Emerald upgrade, emerald generator II and maxed) then comes "bed destruction" meaning all alive beds (assuming any are alive at that stage) explode, then if there is still a team standing, after 10 minutes, it's sudden death.
Also on the scoreboard, it displays which beds are destroyed (Represented with an X) And which beds are still alive (Represented with a Check) next to each team.
Coin/Leveling System
Coins are the currency out of the game of Bedwars. You can use them to buy special cosmetics that vary from Particle trails to special kill messages. To gain coins you simply just gain final kills, and win!
Stars are basically the Bedwars leveling system. You use the experience to level up and gain more stars. Experience is earned through matches, how long have you lasted? Did you win? These are all ways to earn XP. You also earn 10 XP for every 10 minutes you play. The experience bar to level up grows higher as you level up. Leveling up also gives you loot chest which contains cosmetics that you can get.
Cosmetics/Loot chest
First, let's start with cosmetics, cosmetics give you no in-game advantage what so ever, but it helps you get the cool kid points. Cosmetics can be activated in game by clicking your compass in game as long as you have them in your slot ready to use, All of the current Cosmetics are
[Particle Trails] Add's Particles to your projectile

If an opposing team is eliminated, you can get their gold/iron/emeralds if they have max forge unlocked and it will still work as if they were alive.

When it reaches "sudden death" assuming it reaches that phase of the game (final quarter) there are dragons that attack the other team for example if blue and red are fighting, there will be a dragon for red and a dragon for blue and they attack the opposing team

If you are not in a party you will be assigned a random team, (preferably the team with the least players as opposed to the team with the max amount of players, 4 per team.)

They have now added a sound effect when you get hit by a bow and arrow and it will show your opponents health when you get hit by said bow and arrow.

You can only have two iron golems per player at one time, so you can't have 5 million golems protecting your bed, so it is not overpowered, they only have 20 health (10 hearts)

You can only have 4 silverfish at one time, and they are passive to the team who threw them.

The first emerald spawns at 40 seconds, not at the start of the game to prevent teams from winning the game instantly with obsidian around their bed at the start of the match, thank you hypixel staff team

There are three emerald generators in the middle of the map which all share the same timer.

You can not downgrade (meaning you can't get a lower tier) of Armour so for example if you buy iron, you can't buy a chain for your friend, or if you buy a diamond you can't buy iron for your friend.

New mob: Icefish, summons a silverfish when it hits a block, only 5 per person

Added an AFK system, if you are AFK for four minutes, you will get a notification that you will be removed in 10 seconds, you can rejoin using the /rejoin command

When it gets to sudden death and as the timer ticks down, dragons keep on spawning until the game is over.

The resources now go into the middle (1v1v1v1) and come out in chunks for all other modes instead of spraying to the side unless the enemy team is dead it will act like normal and spray out and go everywhere all over the forge.

If you are far away from your bed, and you have diamonds you can go into the enemy base and use their team upgrades, same with the item upgrades.
How to Play Bedwars?
First, make sure you're on the server mc.hypixel.net (Obviously ) Then right click your compass, the first slot in your inventory and look for the bed. Click the bed. Then you should be greeted with the Bedwars Map, and 4 NPCs displaying Solo, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4, Click the one you're looking to play
